HIPP Organic Baby Food products now available in South Africa

It was a small measure of shock and a huge dose of delight that I spotted one of my favourite Bavarian brands, HIPP Organic Baby products, in the baby food section of my local Clicks store. My eldest was weaned on HIPP products from their hypoallergenic baby formula to their teething biscuits and rice cakes and I missed them back home particularly when trying to find appropriate snacks for the youngest.

And why is this range of baby food so fantastic – particularly because HIPP produces a range of baby snacks like baby-sized rice cakes, fruit bars, corn puffs, biscuits and other such goodies that are organic, free of added sugar, salt-free, in some cases gluten-free, mostly suitable for vegetarians – and the list goes on. I am certain that you will encounter the same issue in your baby’s first year – the list of snack options that are not bad for baby is very limited and they soon bore of raisins and rice cakes.

There is a limited range of baby bottled foods and snacks at the moment but hopefully we will be seeing the full offering in time.  The HIPP baby cereals, from the first-foods option to the muesli for older toddlers were some of my best finds in baby food since they were sugar-free. HIPP products are particularly useful for moms struggling to find foods for babies with food allergies as they are sure to have something to suit your little one’s tummy.
